Oil & Gas

Anti-Static Windsocks are used in the oil & gas industry to mitigate the potential risks associated with static build-up.  Standard Windsocks have the potential to accumulate static electricity, which could result in a spark and potentially lead to explosive situations.

Our specially designed Anti-Static Windsocks are specifically created to minimise the risk of static build-up.

Petrochemical Plants – Anti Static Windsocks

When it comes to processing hydro-carbons, it is extremely important to effectively manage any potential sources of ignition. One such source that often goes overlooked is Windsocks, which have the potential to create static build-up and generate sparks.  To combat this issue, we offers Anti-Static Windsocks that are specifically designed to minimise the risk of static build-up and greatly reduce the likelihood of explosions occurring.

Windsocks Australia is proud to supply our high-quality Windsocks to a wide range of operators in both Australia and Papua New Guinea. Some of our valued clients include Inpex LNG, Woodside, ExxonMobil PNG LNG, Shell Prelude, Caltex Australia, Esso, Puma Energy, Chevron, Epic Energy, Viva Energy, BOC gases, and Vopak Terminals.

Anti-Static Windsocks

Anti-Static windsocks work by utilising conductive yarn in their construction which has the ability to conduct electricity and effectively discharge static charges that may accumulate on the Windsock.

Our Anti-Static Windsocks also incorporate the other design features for which Windsocks Australia are renown and are available in all standard sizes from 900mm to 3650mm in length, with custom sizes also available - for more information visit our Windsocks page or download our Datasheet.
