The Challenge
Tier 1 Australian Energy Retailer's new Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at NSW required wind monitoring at two separate locations within the facility. One location required a complete new pole assembly installed from scratch; the second required a Windsock and pivot fitting to an existing 'Star Link' structure pole. Both positions needed to meet Australian industrial safety standards and provide high-visibility wind indication for personnel working on the site.
